In a scene where challenges and opportunities are accelerating for the nonprofit sector in the Kingdom, Hilal bin Hussein Al-Qurashi, editor-in-chief of The Third Bank, presented a qualitative course titled "Building a Sustainable Strategic Model for NGOs" on Monday, 17 Safar 1447 AH corresponding to August 11, 2025 CE, via Zoom, attended by more than 60 leaders and practitioners from various regions of the Kingdom.

Over two hours, the course was not just a presentation of theoretical frameworks but an intensive journey through seven strategic stations starting from a deep reading of the current landscape using SWOT and PESTEL analysis and mapping stakeholders, reaching up to building an operational model that links the inspiring vision with a clear mission and measurable objectives.

The session discussed how to formulate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that reflect the uniqueness of the nonprofit sector, and mechanisms to integrate sustainability at the core of the strategic plan, using tools such as RACI for role allocation and Balanced Scorecard to monitor implementation, in addition to practical models inspired by leading Saudi grant associations and endowments.

The course was characterized by an interactive style that turned each axis into an opportunity to rethink how NGOs are managed as "social investment platforms" that approach their goals with market logic, focusing on maximizing impact and achieving sustainable social returns, in harmony with the targets of Saudi Vision 2030.
